  • The State of Tennessee has six main federal unemployment programs available to Tennessee workers. Two of these programs, the EUC, or Emergency Unemployment Compensation program, and EB, the Extended Benefits program, we have spoken about extensively. However, the other four: UCFE, UCX, TRA and DUA are not as well known. This article will provide a brief look at the Unemployment Compensation for Former Federal Employees program and the Trade Readjustment Allowances program and explain how you can benefit from these schemes.

    Filing a new unemployment insurance benefits claim can be more complicated and time consuming than you expect. This is especially the case if the Tennessee Unemployment Insurance Agency, also known as the Department of Labor and Workforce, has queries over your application.     The Tennessee telephone filing system is overloaded. In an effort to deal with this overload and fast track the application of eligible workers the TN Labor and Workforce Department has organized mass claim sessions for unemployed workers to file for unemployment.

    If you have recently become unemployed and you meet the program’s requirements you may be able to speed up your application as well as simplify the application process.
