Tennessee workers have another chance of receiving the help they need with the fourth extension of the Emergency Unemployment Compensation program of 2008. President Obama finally signed the extension of the Bill on December 17, 2010. Now unemployed workers can file for EUC and Extended Benefits unemployment benefits until the end of this year. Unfortunately, the popular $25 extra FAC program was not extended. The last week you could have claimed it was the week from the 5 to the 11 of December, 2010.
So what is the situation for unemployed workers now. What tiers of the EUC can Tennessee workers apply for? What is the length of unemployment benefits in Tennessee? What tips are there to file with the hotline Tennessee unemployment service? These and many other questions will be examined and answered in this series of articles on the state of unemployment benefits in Tennessee for 2011.
